Smart Cards

Contact and Contactless Smartcards have been mooted as the next best thing for many years, however it is only in recent times that actual smart card applications have started to be implemented within Australia. PPC has recently been successful in assisting Qantas and Dept of Defence in very large scale ID Card rollouts using a Mifare Contactless Card.

Furthermore new Mass Transit Ticketing systems such as the T Card in Sydney and Translink in Brisbane will utilise Mifare Smart Card Technology that can be used in tandem with other card applications that may be used at large population educational sites.

Gift & Loyalty Cards

Gift cards are the rage with the David Jones and Myers of this world and the smaller retailer has not been so fortunate to adopt Gift Cards and PPC hopes to change that.

Time & Attendance

Staff and Student Photo ID cards can provide additional applications such as automated Time & Attendance Tracking which can deliver significant reduction in operational overhead such as the benefits of an automated payroll system that eliminates manual time sheets. In the case of students a Time and Attendance card swipe system can eliminate the time consuming Roll Call and provide instant recognition for absent or late students.

In either case, a simple bar code, mag stripe or smart chip encoding can be added to the basic Photo ID Card being used for visual identification and therefore making the case for instant ID cards even more justifiable. Furthermore, portable data capture devices can be provided for off site events or training course such as used by NSW Master Builders Association when conducted training or technology update seminars or their members.

Visitor Management
